Avnet Technology Solutions has added to its Avnet Cloud Solutions business with the introduction of Avnet Cloud Toolset, or ACT. ACT is a new set of tools that helps solution providers to manage, track, govern, consolidate, and report on clients’ cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
Currently available for Amazon Web Services- and IBM SoftLayer-based offerings, ACT allows partners to provide customers with better visibility into their cloud stance an spend, and to generate enterprise-wide invoices for the cloud solutions a customer has spent.
Tim FitzGerald, vice president of Avnet Cloud Solutions, said it is “extremely challenging” for companies to get a comprehensive view of their cloud spending and to maximize their cloud investment, given the immediate and sometimes event personal nature of cloud spending. With ACT, Avnet aims to solve that problem and “provide cloud consumption details at a departmental level and a transparent enterprise view.”

ACT is available immediately for VARs and MSPs who are Avnet customers in Canada and the United States.
