Along with the ongoing campaign to redefine Tech Data as a hybrid of broadline and value-added distribution, the distributor has its eyes firmly on growing its software business and defining its own role in the move towards the cloud.
In the U.S., the company has rolled out TDcloud, its push into cloud aggregation for the channel, and is about to roll out the next phase of its StreamOne software and application strategy.
I caught up with Tech Data Canada president Rick Reid and Tech Data Americas chief Murray Wright just before the company’s TD12 vendor conference in Toronto, to discuss these initiatives, in particular:

- Canadian plans for TDcloud;
