Strategic use of AI by ASUS helps SMBs drive international growth

Benjamin Yeh, ASUS Computer International President

New AI-related data from ASUS has found that SMBs in the US – and Canada as well – are strategically leveraging artificial intelligence  to drive successful international growth. The findings are from the upcoming ASUS 2025 Future of SMB Report. They show that while US SMBs are pursuing global opportunities, they are doing so with a measured, risk-managed approach.

“Today’s SMBs understand that sustainable global growth requires tools that simplify complexity,” said Benjamin Yeh, ASUS Computer International President. “ASUS provides practical AI solutions that directly support SMBs by enhancing productivity, streamlining cross-border collaboration, and enabling confident, secure expansion.”

The ASUS Future of SMB Report is chock full of data. The report highlights that just one in five (19.6%) SMBs are willing to take significant risks as they expand internationally. Instead, over half (56.9%) leverage AI and other advanced technologies to simplify cross-border complexities such as linguistic barriers, cultural differences, and logistical challenges.

In addition, three-quarters (74.5%) of US SMBs identify global connectivity as essential in expanding their audience reach and growing their business. That reinforces that innovation through tools such as AI-driven analytics, predictive modeling, and intelligent forecasting have become central to SMBs’ strategic approach to scale globally. These tools ensure that businesses can navigate potential cross-cultural disruptions and global complexities to grow sustainably and efficiently.

Canadian numbers are similar.

“We’ve seen a rising demand across Canada for business-ready technology that doesn’t compromise on security, design, performance and artificial intelligence (AI) features, while remaining affordable,” Yeh said. “Our Expert P series lineup was developed with this in mind, and we’re proud to support Canadian small businesses, entrepreneurs, students and professionals with solutions that work as hard as they do.”

Only 1 in 5 (19.6%) of SMBs are willing to accept substantial risks in global expansion efforts, preferring cautious, sustainable growth using technology-supported scaling.

Additional data finds that over half (56.9%) of US SMBs are actively adopting AI and other technologies to overcome cross-border complexities.

The ASUS report also identifies a notable shift in SMB relationship strategies, with 62.8% prioritizing stable, long-term strategic partnerships over short-term vendor acquisitions. This trend underscores SMBs’ emphasis on resilience and sustainable growth when scaling internationally.

ASUS’s business solutions deliver measurable benefits, including simplifying multilingual communication, accelerating international projects, and enhancing security for remote teams. The ASUS ExpertBook Series combines intelligent collaboration tools with reliable long-term support. Features such as live-translated subtitles help overcome language barriers, while AI-generated meeting summaries align teams across time zones – boosting productivity and reducing friction during expansion.
