Following similar offerings introduced last year for law enforcement and education, Storagecraft adds a new offering for health care, which combines their OneXafe converged data platform with messaging aimed at a specific vertical, and go-to-market reseller partners selected and trained around the solution.
Unlike at the ConnectWise spring event, StorageCraft announced no new integrations at the fall event last week. The ConnectWise relationship remains critical to StorageCraft however, as they evolve their business models and practices to keep up with changes in the market.
In addition to moving VARs and MSP sales into the same pool, the new StorageCraft partner program now brings all the company’s products into a single program, including brand new and acquired ones.
StorageCraft is entering a market segment where other companies already play, although StorageCraft does have some interesting points of technology differentiation. The big difference though is that other vendors in this space are focused on the enterprise, while StorageCraft OneXafe is aimed at – and priced for – the midmarket.
StorageCraft is now offering a standard bundle with special pricing for the education market. Later this summer, they will also be introducing more complex integrated solutions for their vertical markets as well.
The need for reasonably priced storage to handle the large storage demand from 4K body cams being acquired by police departments is leading VARs who have not focused on these verticals to move into the space, and has also led StorageCraft to design a custom storage solution for it.
IT Cloud Solutions is also now offering StorageCraft Cloud Backup for Microsoft Office 365 to their MSPs.
The acquisition follows a successful distribution agreement last October through which Exablox resold StorageCraft ShadowProtect software.
