HPE announced the core parameters of its new GreenLake Flex Capacity for partners late last year, but now, in deep consultation with partners, have developed what they believe will be an effective model by which the channel can monetize it.
The HPE Smart Fabric Orchestrator provides the same capabilities for Ethernet that HP’s Smart SAN does for Fibre Channel, while the new M-Series SN2010M is a smaller switch for the secondary storage market.
The new configurations were facilitated by some of the enhancements in the new Scality RING 7.4 software, which has improving ease of use as its primary focus.
The HPE Complete program, in existence since late 2016 in what amounted to beta form, has now been opened to General Available, allowing all HPE partners, including those outside the U.S., to participate.
The new Nimble arrays are also fully enabled for SCM and NVMe for when HPE supports them on these models, but the support is not yet there out of the gate.
Chargifi’s pipeline has grown massively since iPhone support for wireless charging was announced last year, and the company is aggressively pivoting to a channel strategy, which will soon see them add distribution in the U.S. and Canada as well.
