What Dell going public again means – HINT – very little

The announcement of a stock swap that will return Dell Technologies to public trading appears to conflict with everything Michael Dell has said for years about the benefits of being private versus being public. That may not be the case, however.

Seagate purchase of Dot Hill has minimal channel implications

Seagate’s acquisition of Dot Hill last week is intriguing in several ways, but for the channel, it’s pretty much a non-issue. Seagate’s focus is on Dot Hill’s OEM business, and their branded channel business, which had already been outsourced to Quantum, is unlikely to be affected at all.
