Mike Sharun, who has been the dominant player at Dell Technologies in Canada since the EMC merger, will be retiring later this spring. He will be replaced by Pam Pelletier.

Sharun came to Dell with the EMC merger. He had been with EMC since 1999, following earlier stints at SAP and Oracle, the latter of which he was at for almost 11 years. He became EMC’s Canadian country manager at the beginning of 2007. When the merger took place, Canada initially had a dual leadership structure, with former Dell Canada head Kevin Peesker running the commercial division, and Sharun running the enterprise. Those titles persisted after Peesker left for Microsoft Canada and was replaced by Kevin Connolly, but ultimately Sharun became the President and General Manager of Dell Canada.

Pelletier, whose resume title has been National Director at Dell Technologies, but who has appeared at Dell Canada events as VP of Medium Business, started with Dell as a Training Delivery Consultant in 2009 and has risen through the sales ranks there. Her specific title has not been announced. She will, however, lead the Dell Technologies business in Canada, reporting into the North America Commercial sales organization.

Dell has announced that Sharun will work with Pelletier and her leadership to ensure a successful transition.
