Dell CEO Michael Dell and Dell EMC Global CTO John Roese laid out the Dell view of AI and the IoT, and the company’s strategy to lead the market in addressing them.
The IDPA series Dell EMC rolled out last year was aimed at the enterprise, but the DP4400 was specifically built for SMB and midmarket customers, and is being targeted there rather than at ROBO deployments of enterprises.

At this stage, the new Dell EMC program is still in the formative stages, but the company indicated the general principles. Details will be coming in December, with the launch to take place in February.
The new Web-scale object storage platform will extend on-prem EMC storage and backup applications into the cloud, and continue the trend of requiring the assistance of more channel partners than had been the case when Virtustream was acquired.
