Hewlett-Packard is making cloud computing and software sales a priority with the new enhancements made to the PartnerOne program that gives resellers access to more resources, training and incentives.
The program changes’ goal is to give solution providers more consistent and predictable revenue and profitability model for its HP-based cloud and software engagements.
“HP understands that in order for our partners to grow their business and remain competitive we need to evolve how we work together,” said Sue Barsamian, senior vice president of indirect sales for the HP Enterprise Group. “We’re making the PartnerOne program simpler, more profitable and more predictable with the addition of new specialization tracks, a predictable compensation model, a consistent membership structure as well as a streamlined certification process.”
The new programs and incentives will be available November 1. The enhancements include a new Platinum specialization in software and converged infrastructure, gold specializations in Cloud Builder, Vertica and ServiceOne, silver specializations in Autonomy, Vertica, and ServiceOne.
HP has made software – particularly around Big Data – and cloud computing a core component of its long-running recovery plan. The changes HP is making to its PartnerOne program shows it wants to enable partners in these technologies as well as get solution providers to think and act on HP products.
