RSA, which provides secure access against AI-powered threats, has announced the general availability of RSA ID Plus for Microsoft, a new solution category that provides an enhanced security layer for Microsoft Entra ID. Now generally available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, the first product, RSA ID Plus M1, includes key capabilities that defend organizations from emerging attacks, enable them to build MFA resilience, stop phishing, prevent help desk fraud, evolve Zero Trust architecture and maintain operational continuity across hybrid, offline, and non-Microsoft systems and environments.
Key capabilities of RSA ID Plus M1 include RSA Help Desk Live Verify eliminating social engineering risks by enforcing strong, policy-based verification for password resets and support calls. RSA ID Plus Hybrid Failover secures access during cloud outages, with support for Windows/macOS logons, VPN, and RADIUS. Phishing-resistant passwordless authentication provides FIDO2, passkeys, and adaptive authentication to block credential theft. Seamless Microsoft Entra complement extends Entra Plan 1 and 2 with coverage for hybrid, offline, and regulated environments without re-architecting. Enterprise scalability supports large user populations with flexible policies, risk-based decisions, and self-service options. Self-service enrollment and recovery ease IT burden while reducing support tickets. Finally, to future-proof an investment, RSA ID Plus M1 is designed to complement Microsoft Entra ID as organizations evolve identity strategies.
“RSA ID Plus for Microsoft ensures that banks, hospitals, government agencies, and powerplants can deploy modern security solutions to defend themselves from emerging threats while still ensuring resilient operations,” said RSA CEO Greg Nelson.
“It’s been a busy week for RSA Security, and I’m proud to share a series of milestones that illustrate how we’re accelerating innovations to protect the world’s most security-sensitive organizations,” Nelson stated. “This week, we deployed a new solution that leverages AI for cybersecurity, fostered deeper collaboration with Microsoft, and earned industry recognition for how we secure workforce access.
This week, RSA joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), a community of trusted security vendors and partners.
“Joining MISA grants RSA a platform to integrate our advanced solutions with Microsoft Security technology, helping mutual customers defend against ever-evolving cyber threats,” Nelson said. “Joining MISA expands on our work to bring an enhanced security layer to Microsoft Entra ID. RSA ID Plus for Microsoft enables organizations to stop phishing attacks, fortify multi-factor authentication (MFA), prevent help desk fraud, and advance Zero Trust architectures across hybrid and on-premises environments. For security-first leaders in government, finance, healthcare, and other regulated sectors, MISA membership represents the highest standard in cybersecurity and validates the reliability of RSA’s solutions.”
In addition to its core capabilities, RSA ID Plus M1 also features add-ons that organizations can use to assure the authentication process on managed devices and BYOD, determine access dynamically, provision high-assurance hardware authenticators, and more.
RSA Mobile Lock: Detects critical threats to a mobile device and restricts the user’s ability to authenticate until the threat issue is resolved.
RSA Risk AI: Provides real-time risk assessments that determine access risk dynamically based on dozens of behavioral characteristics, including device trust, location, IP address, local time, and more.
RSA iShield Key 2: Provides phishing-resistant, passwordless authentication using a FIPS 140-3 level 3 certified cryptographic module and AAL3 hardware authentication, with support for FIDO2, OATH HOTP, and PIV.
24×7 support: Get direct access to RSA support experts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and responses within one hour for high-severity issues.
Adaptive access: A more flexible and context-dependent approach to access, with conditional policies based on dynamic elements including device, network, and geographic location.
SMS/voice: One-time password (OTP) delivered on-demand through SMS / voice telephony credits.
“The extraordinary risks that financial services, healthcare, energy, and other highly regulated industries face demand the extraordinary security capabilities that only RSA and Microsoft together can deliver,” said Laura Marx, RSA Chief Marketing and Growth Officer. “With the layered security approach from both RSA and Microsoft, organizations get both the scaled cloud infrastructure and deep identity security expertise they need to stop AI-powered threats, remain operational, and ensure that all users can stay productive.”
