The new integration extends ScaleProtect with Cisco UCS to Cisco’s HyperFlex hyperconverged products, and validates Commvault’s IntelliSnap snapshot technology with them.
Cisco and Veeam partnered around HyperFlex over a year ago around a direct snapshot integration for HyperFlex primary storage. Now they are extending that partnership with a new integration on the secondary side that leverages enhancements made in HyperFlex 3.0.
In addition to the performance boost from the new Intel processors, Cisco is also touting its new Cisco Workload Optimization Manager software, which comes through an OEM deal with Turbonomic.
