IndependenceIT has an additional integration feather in its cap, thanks to a new collaboration deal with RMM and services automation specialist N-able Technologies Inc.
IndependenceIT, an Allentown, Pa. cloud services management platform provider serving VARs, ISVs and MSPs, now boasts new hooks between its nPanel and Cloud Workspace suites and N-able’s popular N-central platform. The integration will allow IndependenceIT’s cloud delivery and management tools to be managed from within N-able’s Automation Manager.
The goal, according to officials of both companies, is to let MSPs — who are increasingly tasked with folding cloud services into their existing practices — manage several RMM, PSA and cloud services products from a single interface with automated price management, ordering and provisioning.
“Cloud-based technologies are growing exponentially and challenging MSPs to adapt their IT services delivery model to embrace cloud services and more advanced solutions including mobile and virtualized IT solutions,” said N-able President and COO J.P. Jauvin. “By working together with iIT, we are formally extending our business acumen and partner development services to include best practices around cloud services marketing, sales, deployment and management.”
The pair will also work together on MSP education and training aimed at helping services providers to develop more profitable next-generation practices that blend cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
“The current IT services model is changing,” said Jim Lippie, executive vice president for business development at IndependenceiIT and a former MSP executive himself. Lippie points to Gartner Inc. figures that show “IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and BPaaS (business process as a service) will grow 13.1 percent and 47.3 percent in 2013.
“It is easy to see how important it is for MSPs to quickly establish new recurring revenue streams based around providing cloud services,” said Lippie. “Our mission is to provide the expertise and solutions that help MSPs grow their recurring revenue and profits during a disruptive time in the market.”
Michael Drake, CEO of masterIT LLC, an MSP based in Memphis, Tenn., got an early look at the IndependenceIT and N-Able joint effort and said he likes what he’s seen.
“The market and demand for cloud services has radically expanded these past few years,” Drake said. “The only way to keep up with demand and balance ongoing management requirements is with collaborative tools. These two companies make it possible for us to proactively and efficiently meet our clients’ every need – including cloud-based technologies and services – while enabling us to grow as a company.”
