The dominant theme of this year’s Dell EMC World is the automation of the data centre, and a key part of that is the announcement of its latest servers, with availability set for summer.
What was formerly Project Nitro will hit the streets in 2017, with a single 4U Isilon Scale-Out system reaching a maximum of 924TB of capacity, 250,000 IOPS and up to 15GB/s of aggregate bandwidth in a 4-node cluster.
Many details still have not yet been determined, or cannot be made public, but at EMC World, Dell and EMC indicated some additional information about what the massive new organization would look like, and be called, once the merger is complete.
