Workato Enterprise MCP now available for SaaS platforms

Adam Seligman, Chief Technology Officer at Workato

Agentic orchestration vendor Workato has announced that Workato Enterprise MCP is now available for SaaS platforms, allowing them to make their products agent-ready, securely, rapidly, and without refactoring code. Workato Enterprise MCP turns existing workflows, integrations, and APIs into rich, multi-step agent skills that any large-language-model (LLM)-based agent can call, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Cursor.

Agents today are not trusted to take action because they lack connectivity, complexity, and context, and leaders are hesitant to invest because of security and efficiency concerns. Workato’s Enterprise MCP solves that problem by transforming standalone agents into trusted enterprise actors, enabling them to execute real business processes, governed by the same controls that enterprises already rely on within Workato’s integration platform.

“Agents are here – and customers expect them to work with every SaaS product they use,” said Adam Seligman,  who was recently named Chief Technology Officer at Workato. “With Workato Enterprise MCP, SaaS companies can safely and easily expose their platform’s core value to agents through rich multi-step skills, all powered by the world’s most trusted iPaaS. This means agents can finally take meaningful, secure action — and SaaS platforms can stay at the center of their customers’ agentic workflows.”

As part of Workato ONE, Workato Enterprise MCP propels the vision of an “Agentic Enterprise,” where AI agents collaborate, act, and improve in production. This announcement builds on a series of moves by Workato to bring AI from the edge into the core of the enterprise — from deploying a fleet of production-grade Genies across every business function to an Action Board for managing them, and launching a developer sandbox to accelerate community adoption.

Agents are rapidly evolving from novelty to necessity. Customers now expect seamless interaction between their agents and the systems they use every day. Yet enabling those agents to connect safely and meaningfully to live enterprise workflows remains complex and costly. Workato Enterprise MCP bridges that gap – allowing SaaS companies to amplify their own agents or power their customers’ agents through pre-built, governed connectivity to the systems that matter most.

“Workato Enterprise MCP allows us to connect our AI agents to the enterprise systems and data our customers rely on,” said Leandro Morelato, Senior Full Stack Developer at TrustArc, which bridges the gap between privacy and data for deeper insights, broader access, and continuous compliance. “Before, those agents operated in silos, but with MCP, we can unlock richer insights, deliver more intelligent experiences, and focus our efforts on driving innovation. Even better, because Workato handles all the heavy lifting, we can easily integrate MCP into our existing systems with minimal effort and maximum flexibility.”

“Workato Enterprise MCP will enable SaaS platforms like ours to connect agents to the systems and data that matter most — securely and at scale,” said Anand Narasimhan, Chief Technology Officer at S-Docs.

With Workato Enterprise MCP, SaaS companies can expose the core value of their platform to agents without rewriting code or APIs. They can also build MCP servers that make their most powerful workflows directly callable by any agent. In addition, the enable customer and partner ecosystems to embed their platform into agentic use cases – securely, deterministically, and at scale. They also bring their platform to where customers work, not the other way around. As a result, Workato Enterprise MCP is the only offering that combines MCP capabilities with Workato’s proven enterprise integration and governance engine. Powered by the #1 iPaaS, it enables secure agent connectivity to 10,000+ enterprise systems instantly, and without infrastructure overhead or API redesigns.

Workato is different. It’s horizontal. It connects to everything: apps, data, teams, and processes. It’s the best place to build agents that have full enterprise context and can actually get things done. That’s the unlock.

“This is the right team, at the right moment,” Seligman said. “It is the world’s leading integration automation program, which  powers great companies like Open AI, Visa, Atlassian and thousands more. Workato has a huge head start—thousands of deep connectors and nearly a million community-built recipes. The most capable enterprise agents will live here.

Seligman also stressed the unique nature of the company’s culture

“The culture is special,” Seligman stated. “Vijay Tella and team have built something rare – humble, deeply technical, fanatical about customer success, and obsessed with outcomes.

“AI is reshaping how work gets done,” Seligman continued. “LLMs are useful at cognition and tool use but they really need context and they need the ability to take action with tools.” Workato  provides the necessary structured context and real execution among systems.

“This is absolutely the right place to be for agentic transformation,” Seligman stressed. “Hyperscalers don’t play in the vertical app layer. Vertical SaaS companies are all going agentic and they are great for those narrow use cases in those domains Workato is different. It’s horizontal. It’s universal integration and automation. It connects to everything with thousands of deep connections, and nearly a million community built recipes.”

Notable features include no-code agent enablement, so you can turn existing Workato recipes or community automations into agent-ready skills in minutes. Acess to over 650,000 pre-built workflow templates also lets you get started fast.

Users also have unified authentication via Workato Identity, which provides verified user access, role-based access control, and audit trails for every agent interaction. Full observability also means end-to-end monitoring of performance, usage, and system health. Finally, Workato works seamlessly with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, and next-generation agents – ensuring flexibility as the agentic ecosystem evolves.

Workato Enterprise MCP builds on Workato’s broader Agentic Enterprise strategy – uniting integrations, orchestration, and AI automation into one secure platform. From Agent Studio and Agent Hub to Workato Enterprise MCP, Workato continues to define the connective layer that allows businesses and SaaS ecosystems alike to thrive in the agent era.
