Time to double down investments in display technology

As organizations experience a longer than anticipated period of uncertainty, the demand for anywhere operations continues to grow across all industries, from enterprise to commercial to education. According to Gartner, 40% of organizations will have already moved to blending virtual and physical experiences by the end of 2023. The trend promises to continue as more customers are embracing the concept of innovative new digital spaces where people can interact across hybrid work, e-learning and commercial markets.

Collaboration solutions are a critical enabler for anywhere operations with the display at the core, empowering people with a visual solution for creating and sharing content. The pandemic accelerated the shift to anywhere operations, and as we look to 2023 customers in business, education and commercial sectors are continuing to invest in technologies that support this fluid model, connecting people wherever they are. Collaborative, work from anywhere spaces are continuing to evolve, and we are just scratching the surface in terms of realizing the potential of interactive display solutions in connecting people and driving creativity and productivity.

Within the IT sector, the display category industry-wide has seen double digit growth since the onset of COVID and is continuing its upward trajectory. ViewSonic’s own growth has outpaced this and we are continuing to work with our partners to meet demand for visual solutions. From large format interactive displays with integrated whiteboarding software, to USB-C enabled desktop and portable monitors for seamless business continuity, together with our partners we are helping unlock the potential of anywhere collaboration and distributed workflows.

Deidre Deacon, General Manager and Channel Chief for ViewSonic Canada

With the growth in hybrid, fluid work environments, channel partners have more choices and opportunities than ever to help their customers realize the potential of anywhere operations. In recent months, uncertainties have emerged in the channel around inventory availability, price increases, and wait times (in some cases up to four months or more) for deliveries due to supply chain disruptions. As a partner-first vendor, our focus at ViewSonic has been to steward our channel partners through this by offering new competitive pricing, including price cuts on over 100 SKUs, financial incentives and an enhanced partner program, increased investments in our global supply chain network, and a robust inventory with next-day shipping across the country.

Since COVID began, we have also increased our investments in our people. In Canada, we’ve more than doubled the size of our sales and support team, increasing both in-person and virtual support to channel partners and their customers. On the technology front, we have launched innovative new visual solutions that make it easier for people to connect, create and engage. For example, the adoption of USB-C technology – the jack of all trades of connector technology – now available across our product line, includes integrated gigabit Ethernet ports and provides businesses, educators, and consumers with the portability, and seamless all-in-one connectivity needed to increase productivity and transform new digital spaces. Our ViewBoard® interactive flat panel displays with the myViewBoard® software platform continue to lead the way in EdTech as one of the fastest growing, go-to solutions for digital learning.

As we rollout exciting new product and channel strategies for 2023, we do so with a partner-first mindset. We will continue to upgrade our product line, invest in the latest technologies, and strengthen our channel partner program to enable growth at every stage of business. With display technology and software solutions accessible for every budget and customer application, our partners can deliver extraordinary collaborative experiences for their customers, from the head office to a home office, and everywhere in between. Moving forward, ViewSonic will continue its longstanding role as a trusted display partner, continuing to innovate, evolve, and support customers across Canada.
