It’s been a year of change for Avaya Canada and its partners. Even if you put aside for the minute its blockbuster acquisition and integration of one of Canada’s original technology darlings in Nortel, consider the changes in leadership the company has seen.
Amidst a huge number of new product announcements over the course of the year, the company has changed much of its Canadian leadership team, with former Cisco Canada channel chief Ross Pellizzari coming in as new president in May. Late last month, Renzo Dipasquale joined the company as its new director of channels, and just last week, the company promoted Miles Davis to its new VAR channel leader for Canada.
With three new leaders all with a channel focus and background, the company’s looking for big things from its solution provider base.
ChannelBuzz.ca caught up with Pellizzari and Dipasquale at Avaya’s 2011 Americas Partner Conference in Las Vegas. In part one our video interview, the Avaya Canada leaders discuss the company’s Canadian priorities for 2011, the state of the Nortel integration in the market and the channel, and where the Canadian organization sees the best growth opportunities for its solution providers.
