Hitachi Vantara and Virtana have announced a new collaboration with AI-powered monitoring and observability vendor Virtana, which will integrate Virtana’s suite with the Hitachi Vantara EverFlex infrastructure-as-a-service offering.
Hitachi Vantara has announced a new partnership with Virtana, which makes AI-powered monitoring and observability solutions for hybrid infrastructure environments, to provide customers with advanced consumption-based infrastructure solutions for workload management and hybrid cloud operations.
The partnership integrates the Virtana Platform suite with the Hitachi EverFlex infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) portfolio to deliver advanced consumption-based infrastructure solutions for workload management and hybrid cloud operations.
“Today, data joins people as a company’s most critical advantage,” said Marcel Escorcio, VP Sales America’s International at Hitachi Vantara. “This rapid data growth is leading to the optimization of hybrid cloud. Leveraging cloud improves efficiency in a world where data is everywhere.”
Virtana’s original offering dates from the early part of the last decade, when they were a high-flying startup known as Virtual Instruments with an on-prem infrastructure performance management platform, VirtualWisdom. The company ran into teething issues, however, which led to a 2016 merger with LoadDynamiX. In 2019, they acquired Metricly, which brought them the technology that became its public cloud analysis offering, and later that year, the company was renamed Virtana.
“We chose to partner with Virtana because of their unique capabilities in AI-powered monitoring and observability, which are critical for managing complex hybrid cloud environments,” Escorcio said. “Virtana’s platform provides deep insights and automation that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs, aligning perfectly with Hitachi Vantara’s goals for their EverFlex portfolio. The relationship allows to provide an AI monitoring platform with our EverFlex.”
Escorcio described Virtana as a niche strategic partner for Vantara.
“Other competitors with similar tools exists, but the scalability and flexibility that Virtana provides integrates very well with our technology,” he noted. “They align perfectly with Hitachi Vantara’s goals for the EverFlex portfolio. From a product perspective, Virtana stands out due to its comprehensive visibility across diverse, heterogeneous infrastructure environments, advanced analytics, and real-time data insights. These features enable businesses to optimize resource utilization, improve performance, and streamline operations more effectively than many competitors. Additionally, Virtana’s ability to integrate seamlessly with existing systems and provide scalable, cost-efficient solutions makes it a compelling choice for enterprises looking to enhance their hybrid cloud strategy.”
Modern AI is central to the combined solution, particularly in automating data analysis and providing actionable insights.
“Virtana’s AI-driven analytics enable customers to optimize resource allocation, reduce operational costs, and ensure high availability,” Escorcio said. “Hitachi EverFlex, enhanced by AI, further streamlines operations through predictive analytics and automated recommendations, empowering organizations to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure management. This AI integration is especially crucial in industries like healthcare, financial services and retail, where uptime and performance are mission-critical. Keep an eye out for the expansion of AI within the EverFlex Portfolio! We’re thrilled about our AI roadmap and its transformative impact on hybrid cloud environments.
Escorcio explained how the new offering will go to market.
“The integration of Virtana with Hitachi EverFlex creates a unified offering that simplifies hybrid cloud management while providing end-to-end infrastructure solutions,” he stated. “The go-to-market approach will leverage Hitachi Vantara’s global reach and extensive partner ecosystem. This includes direct sales efforts targeting large enterprises, joint marketing initiatives, and tailored solutions for industries like financial services and healthcare, where hybrid cloud optimization is critical. The focus will also be on helping customers achieve sustainable digital transformation by aligning IT with business goals.”
For the Canadian channel, Escorcio said that this is all a very big deal.
“For Canadian channel partners, this launch represents an opportunity to deliver advanced, differentiated solutions in a market increasingly adopting hybrid cloud strategies.,” he said. “The integration of Virtana with Hitachi EverFlex enables partners to offer end-to-end solutions that address customers’ needs for cost-effective, efficient cloud migration and infrastructure optimization. Additionally, the combined offering positions partners to capture emerging opportunities in AI-driven digital transformation initiatives. With strong demand for such solutions in Canada, this partnership creates new revenue streams and strengthens partner competitiveness in a growing market.”
