When Eric Gales joined VMware Canada as president last fall, one of his first big priorities was to transform the company from a simple sales and marketing subsidiary into a much more free-standing Canadian organization. That’s not necessarily an easy task, and one that bucks the popular trend of incorporating the Canadian subsidiary into a larger North American and Americas structure.
