In addition to completing the full integration of the analytics capabilities HPE acquired last year with Nimble, HPE also expanded their tools and integrations to automate 3PAR in the cloud, DevOps, virtualization and container environments.
In addition to new SMB-focused server, storage, networking and hyper-converged product, HPE has brought their Consume IT OPEX pricing model from the enterprise to SMBs as well.
The addition of SSD support to the HPE MSA 1040 also enables software enhancements which have been available on the flagship MSA 2040, and removes much of the feature gap between the two models.
Other improvements to HP’s SMB-focused MSA line include new SAS connectivity for MSA 1040 and EnergyStar certification for the 2040.
The 7440c Converged Flash Array gives the same performance as an all-flash array, while adding the affordability and flexibility of adding spinning media. It is aimed at the high midmarket through the enterprise.
