ConnectWise stressed two main themes at their IT Nation Event in Orlando – the need to further empower MSPs, and the need for MSPs to develop their security capabilities. Those two themes were closely intertwined, as ConnectWise is rolling out multiple tools and programs to enhance both, with more to come.
SherWeb’s first RMM integration, with ConnectWise, is scheduled to go live in Q1 of next year, a major step for the Cloud Services Provider, who previously had no direct integration with ConnectWise.
Power management vendor Eaton already has MSP partners, but until now, they had no integrations with RMM vendors. They have now finalized their first, with ConnectWise, and they are looking for more.

At IT Nation Connect, ConnectWise Chief Product Officer Craig Fulton discussed metrics MSPs need to better understand and use, as well as changes that ConnectWise will be making in its platform to help them do that.
EventTracker has moved in a period of less than two years from mainly direct to channel-focused, and has been building out their MSP channel. Their new integration with ConnectWise Manage is their first of its kind, although other PSA and RMM integrations are likely to follow.

On the first day of the main Boomi World event, the CEO laid out the company’s vision, and, joined by Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell, laid out how Boomi customers can both expand beyond integration on the Boomi platform, and leverage the other Dell Technologies companies.
Boomi VP of Global Business Development David Tavolaro said that measured by partner enthusiasm, the Partner Summit at Boomi World 18 was a major success. He also emphasized that the partner program has continued to evolve successfully since its April inception.
Until now, Teridion has sold an Internet acceleration service to SaaS providers, and sold it mainly direct, but now they are launching a Cloud-based WAN service that will go entirely through partners, and has created a new channel program to support them.
Silver Peak acknowledged that its old partner program, implemented in 2015, was deficient in key respects, and has completely restructured the program in order to remedy those problems.
Boomi partner Hathority discussed how they use Boomi in both IoT and Blockchain solutions, using the multiple components of the Boomi platform beyond its core integration capabilities.
Boomi has revamped their program for ISVs, integrators and other developers, to encourage them to build more solutions on top of and connecting to Boomi, and to validate it on third party software. They also want partners to work with the whole Boomi stack, not just its original integration functionality.
Maxta provided analytics previously, but it was limited to data on an individual cluster, MxIQ broadens this to add metrics from additional clusters and additional data, to provide a greater degree of visibility and insight.
Acronis has also added improved their ransomware protection and added runbooks to their disaster recovery orchestration, democratizing the process so it can be done without professional services. Previously announced Azure and Google Cloud integrations are also part of this release.
A new VxRail integration with Dell EMC Smart Fabric Services provides VxRail with automated networking configuration, while VxBlock gets major awareness, automation and analytics upgrades to its software.
