As I discussed in a story yesterday, HP recently advanced its software-defined networking strategy in a press event announcing new products, solutions and services around SDN at the Interop event in New York City.
I had the chance to sit in on a presentation from HP Networking czar Bethany Mayer, where Mayer shared some definitions of what SDN is and isn’t, the impact it will have on the networking market, why HP feels its networking arch-rival Cisco is getting it wrong, why SDN isn’t the end of networking hardware innovation, and why applications are the key element in an SDN environment.
Here are some video highlights of Mayer’s presentation to press and bloggers at the launch event.
