Until now, Teridion has sold an Internet acceleration service to SaaS providers, and sold it mainly direct, but now they are launching a Cloud-based WAN service that will go entirely through partners, and has created a new channel program to support them.
Silver Peak acknowledged that its old partner program, implemented in 2015, was deficient in key respects, and has completely restructured the program in order to remedy those problems.

The improvements to the Silver Peak SD-WAN solution also include centralized orchestration of security policies, including the integration of a stateful firewall, and support for BGP routing protocols.
Masergy also believes that managed SD-WAN will be a particularly strong opportunity for their channel partners.
Silver Peak also announces the hire of a team of executives to build up the service provide business, which will be expanded with other partnerships.
Silver Peak is reworking its channel program to better prepare partners for the SD-WAN market opportunity, which is much larger than traditional WAN optimization, and to assist them in making deployments which will be much less technical and complex than in WAN optimization.
Unity EdgeConnect, which builds on the Unity fabric Silver Peak announced last year, is a virtual network overlay which leverages broadband to connect users to applications, while also letting them retain their existing routers and firewalls and move to a broadband WAN at their own speed.
