D&H Canada has expanded their strategic relationship with HP Canada, extending their value proposition to partners in the Canadian Retail and Industry solutions and commercial transactional print sectors. D&H Canada has been authorized for the first time to carry the full line of transactional commercial print solutions across North America. They have also been authorized to add HP Retail and Industry Solutions in Canada. In addition, these SMB and midmarket solutions also make Retail Industry Solutions (RIS) available for the Canadian market for the first time.
“We continue to expand our relationship with HP, and said Chris Ralston, Executive Director of Vendor Management at D&H Canada. “The addition of our roster of transactional commercial printers is part of our new authorization which has been authorized to carry the full line of transactional commercial print solutions across North America for D&H and its partners to reach untapped market opportunities, and continues our line card.”

“On the print side, we now have the full line card of printers including departmental printers,” Ralston said. “In print we are doing some unique things to embed into our print products. Today these can be messy, but with the HP AI, everything fits together in the page.”
We are also expanding into mobile fixed POS solutions, and also into kiosks,” he added. “Kiosks are a brand new vertical for us.”
Some parts of the HP portfolio are not included.
“They have some types of print solutions that we don’t sell,” Ralston said. “These tend to be very large business or wide page offerings and mainly go direct. These compete against companies like Konica and Xerox, and are not really focused on price.”
This category also includes HP Retail and Industry Solutions in Canada.
“These include everything to deal with POS products and kiosks ,” Ralston said. “What we find really exciting is that they are the number one player in the market. We do not presently carry other vendors in this space, although we are looking at others. HP has been the number one player for five years in this space, however.
D&H is also engaging the retail sector with Retail Industry Solutions (RIS) for the Canadian market for the first time.
“These are generally small POS systems, for companies who want to create a new experience for their customers,” Ralston said. “They include everything from the convenience store all the way up to large department stores. HP has a great line card for this now.
“We used to just sell Smart Buy solutions, but now we sell the whole portfolio,” Ralston added. In addition to the Smart Buy promotions, D&H partners can take advantage of HP’s commercial Smart Buy promotions, as well as exclusive D&H offerings like its HP Enablement Platform, HP Sales Specialists, and an AI-ready Device Evaluation Program where MSPs and VARs can access a hands-on “demo pool.” D&H also has dedicated sales specialists, for partners who need help selling D&H.
