D&H’s new business unit organizes solutions into four technology categories, under one leadership team and within one organization, to eliminate the siloed approach that prevailed before, while being recognized as a Microsoft CSP distributor brings D&H Canada to the position they have been in the U.S. for some time.
Distributor D&H Canada has announced the Canadian launch of its new Modern Solutions Business Unit. It is designed to support the design and deployment of end-to-end solutions based on how partners want to deliver solutions to meet customer requests, and to help partners develop practices around these. At the same time, D&H Canada also announced Canada has been recognized by Microsoft as an authorized Microsoft CSP [Cloud Solution Provider] distributor.
D&H’s Modern Solutions practice encompasses four technology categories:
Modern Applications: Will accommodate trends like software moving to SaaS models and the transition from ongoing licensing to subscription-based purchasing. This includes D&H vendors like Microsoft, ConnectWise, and airSlate.
Modern Infrastructure: Addresses growth in IaaS, consumption-based payment models, edge computing, and modernization and migration to the cloud. This involves D&H vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft Azure, Cameyo, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and CloudCheckr.
Modern Collaboration: Addresses trends like the hybrid office, telecom convergence, and “Work From Anywhere” including via mobile and hybrid meeting rooms. Vendors include Avaya, Cisco, Dropbox, Intermedia, Poly, Jabra, Logitech, Neat, Lenovo, and RingCentral.
Modern Security: Addresses the market’s move toward SaaS cyber security and the MSP’s migration to MSSP models. Vendors include Cisco, ConnectWise, Microsoft, SonicWall, Sophos, Vade, and Webroot.
“With the new Modern Solutions Business Unit, we have all the critical units of the portfolio under one leadership team and within one organization,” said Michelle Biase, D&H Canada General Manager. “It brings cohesion about how a tech solution will be brought to market in a way that we haven’t done before.”
Biase said that whole D&H offered these capabilities before, they were not integrated in one unit like they are now.
“The result was that things were in separate siloes,” she said. “Now it’s just one organization for our partners to engage with us. It simplifies the way we go to market the and way that partners can engage with D&H.”
Biase said that the added value provided us not just for larger partners.
“We think it adds value for all resellers large and small that we serve,” she stated. “If they only want technical resources we can help with that. For smaller VARs who want help with invoicing, we can do that.”
D&H’s Modern Solutions offering will have a major presence at the D&H Canada Toronto THREAD partner event, taking place in the fall of 2022.
D&H Canada also announced Canada has been brought up to speed with the U.S. around the Microsoft cloud, in being recognized as an authorized Microsoft CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) distributor. To this end, D&H Canada has added Microsoft’s cloud-based solutions to its Cloud Marketplace transactional platform.
The Microsoft CSP program delivers partner resources to drive faster adoption of cloud-based solutions among business end-customers, streamlining their operations and improving customer satisfaction.
“The CSP is ever evolving,” Biase said. They look at new ways of delivering licensing and ways to bring new solutions to market, including modern toolsets that include things like Teams and hybrid, in response to market shifts.”
Biase said that this will be of use to both large and small partners.
“It really impacts anyone who is interested in providing cloud services to their target base – in any part of their journey,” she stated. “We can also customize the offering to meet the partner where they need to be at this point.”
D&H Canada’s Ian Cumming will continue to oversee the company’s cloud services offering in Canada as senior cloud and professional services development manager.
D&H Canada solution providers can also find out more about the Microsoft CSP program and D&H’s Cloud Marketplace at the D&H Canada Toronto THREAD partner event, taking place in the fall of 2022.
