The 2112 Group, the leader in IT channel market research and professional services, today appointed Diana L. Mirakaj as the company’s first chief operating officer.
Mirakaj, who had served on The 2112 Advisory Board, is a seasoned marketing, operations and business management professional with a steep history in financial services, business consulting and research. As 2112’s chief operating officer, she’s responsible for the oversight of operations, finance and business development.
“Diana has been a trusted friend, business associate and collaborator for many years. Her background and experience in business development, operations, marketing and finance make her an ideal addition to the 2112 executive team,” said Lawrence M. Walsh, president and CEO of The 2112 Group.
Most recently, Mirakaj was responsible for global marketing and corporate development at BTM Corporation, a management solutions provider whose products and services focus on innovation, growth and value-creation across the Fortune 500, midmarket and public sector. She focused on corporate messaging, branding and design of an integrated corporate development strategy, and the management of partnerships and alliances.
Previously, Mirakaj was with UBS Investment Bank, where she worked in the International Equity Capital Markets Group (ECMG). She acted as a liaison between clients, corporate finance, other investment dealers and the market. She was involved throughout the process from origination to execution, including oversight of road shows, investor feedback, demand management, and final pricing and allocation of the issue.
She gained start-up experience at Monarch Worldwide Investments, an exclusive fund that traded commodities for high-net-worth individuals and family funds. She focused on regulatory issues and investor relations, in addition to day-to-day operational aspects of the business. She developed marketing strategies to attract additional investors, while maintaining existing accounts with customized services tailored to each individual.
“As a member of The 2112 Advisory Board since late 2011, I observed as the company consistently met and often exceeded its own forecasts under the leadership of Larry Walsh and his dedicated team of professionals. Therefore, I consider myself extremely fortunate to take on this role at such an exciting time with the current growth stage underway and look forward to all that we have planned for 2014 and beyond,” said Diana L. Mirakaj, COO of The 2112 Group.
The 2112 Group also promoted Amber Plante to managing editor, a role in which she will oversee content management and quality control for the company’s strategic materials, research reports and media site, Channelnomics.com. Plante has served as chief copy editor and operations manager for 2112 since 2010.
“Amber has been an instrumental member of the 2112 team since the company’s founding. She is true professional at crafting quality content, and deserving of this advancement,” said Walsh.
