Security is THE conversation: Cisco’s security response to COVID-19

Mark Collins, vice president of Cisco Canada’s partner organization

As companies rapidly adapt to more distributed workforce to keep business moving during the social distancing brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the role and the shape of security needs to change. And all of this comes at a time when security was already becoming a more important underpinning of any solution VARs and MSPs sell.

With that in mind, we’re joined by Mark Collins, vice president of the partner organization for Cisco Canada, in this edition of the podcast to discuss the role of security in how solution providers are responding to changing business needs in the face of the pandemic.

We discuss:

  • how security priorities shift as customers have rapidly become more distributed than they previously would have expected;
  • the tools Cisco brings to partners to secure their customers networks, assets, and people, and the offerings designed to help them get new customers spun up quickly right now;
  • the opportunity for partners to help their customers face security challenges, both in the short term as they triage customers that need to change quickly, and with a more strategic point-of-view that equips their customers for long-term success in the near future; and
  • how to rethink customers’ architectures put security at the centre going forward.

All this and much more in this edition of the ChannelBuzz.ca Podcast.
